It turns out I have a lot of raw video I need to go through! We’ve had some fantastic speakers at HSU, and I typically try to chat with them about what’s on their mind.
In this interview which took place a few years back, I spoke with Rachel Held Evans. As I listened to the conversation recently, I realized how very relevant her comments continue to be, and how, sadly, we haven’t made much progress.
At one point she says, “White dudes” are NOT the future of Christianity.” She proceeded to offer some sage and prophetic insights about the need for diverse leadership. She also encourages a discussion on white, male privilege.
